On October 4, 2013, the award ceremony for the winners of the "Business Women 2013" competition was held in Moscow. The competition was held in Russia for the first time within the framework of an international initiative by EY company aimed at providing support and assistance to the strengthening of women's positions in business. In his welcoming speech, Alexander Ivlev, Management Partner of EY company in Russia, said: "Traditions of female entrepreneurship in our country have a rich history. We are happy to welcome not just women today, but true professionals, whose tremendous work makes a huge contribution to the development of our country."
35 women from 10 regions across the country took part in the competition. They were founders of successful companies and directors of enterprises whose businesses had positively impacted the development of Russian business.

Their diligence, perseverance and confidence inspire thousands of people to establish their own businesses and help to develop entrepreneurship in our country," remarked Sofia Azizyan, EY Company Partner, Director of the Department for HR Strategy in the CIS.
